GOD, this image has KILLED ME. Total time is OVER 40 hours. OVER FORTY HOURS!!!
BUT.. I still like the result. Granted, the highlights on the rocks in the foreground were a teeeny bit rushed, but other than that.... 8D
Anyway, wanted to draw my Soul Silver Team, and my protagonist, named Kenta... based of my OC named Kenta... based of Gold's original design... YAH.
I made my OC Kenta (Similar hairstyle to Gold, with Grey eyes instead of amber), in 2001. Not until 3 months ago, did I find out that Gold's Japanese Anime name is... Kenta.
God, people will think I'm ripping him off but BLEGH. My Kenta is MY Kenta. End of story.
So now that's rant is over, let's go over the characters:
- Protagonist - Kenta - 16 badges - 105 hours of playtime
- Dragonair - Tanith - Female - Level 64
- Espeon - Yuutarou - Male - level 75
- Gyarados - Aviendha - Female - Level 63
- Raichu - Lightning - Female - Level 64
- Typhlosion - Fang - Female - Level 67
- Absol - Luna - Female - Level 67
- Wild Sneasel - ? - ? - ?
- Wild Teddiursa - ? - ? - ?
...Oh, and Aviendha is TOSSING the Teddiursa... she isn't going to eat it XD
Oh, and Kenta has the bad luck of Getting a MALE Espeon to get SOME masculinity into his team - and turns out, Yuutarou is GAY (seriously, ALL he does is giving Kenta FLOWERS and Hugging him and blushing all the time, so yes~)
Anyway, if the setting isn't familiar to you, the team is on the way up to the top of Mt. Silver (The snow-covered mountain in the background) and are taking a short break in their climb. Tanith (the other pokémon in the team who always gives Flowers, blushes and hugs) is showering Kenta with love, which is why he hasn't realized that Aviendha will probably soon draw some VERY angry Ursaring upon them 8D
ANYWAY, critique and comments are LOVED, especially since this is one of my first real attempts at a background for a picture

First off, I truly love this piece. All the characters are so well done and the colours are wonderful!
The drawing is put together really nice, you've used so much time on every character and it really shines through. You've given each pokemob it's own personality and their colours are perfect. Lovely highlights!!
Kenta is well drawn, and I like that you changed him a bit from the original! Everything about him seems perfect <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="
" title=" (Big Grin)"/>The background is so detailed and well done that it makes me feel like I'm enjoying some hiking with my own pokemon!
