I'll be honest with you, i'm not exactly sure what's going on, but it doesn't really matter. It still works.
I love the vines growing up the pillar.
Just a thought. For some reason the whole image reminds me of Full Metal Alchemist (when Ed fights Flame). Great drawing.
The detailed sky and clouds look great; I especially like the lens flare effect near her right knee. Anatomy from behind and an up angle looks excellent, foreshortening her right hand was the first thing to do. The way the breaking top of the rock frames the sun is neat, a good focus.
The color scheme is a good choice; the bright orange used sparingly looks nice, especially combined with the vibrant blue sky that frames it, and her white-ish hair echoes the white of the clouds. I like that the vines are not an overwhelming green, but instead have a subtle blue tinge to them that makes them fit in with the rest of the image.
There are only a couple of things about the image I can suggest you tweak for improvement. The first is the texture on the rock; the size of the texture stays the same going up. Making it get smaller as it goes up would add to the illusion of distance.
The second is a small one, really; the shadow on the girl's bottom is unnaturally shaped. To show the rounded edges of somebody's backside, there should be shading on her shorts that goes out toward the sides of her hips as well as in the middle, to match the shading on her thighs just below.
All in all, a really great image, and I'm definitely faving it.
